Great Falls competitor Kelsey Brandt shattered the arena record at the Frozen Frontier Rodeo with a blistering 13.42-second run.

Kelsey Brandt and her horse Copper Penny made history at the Frozen Frontier Rodeo in Great Falls, posting a time of 13.42 seconds to break the arena record that had stood since 2019. Brandt, who has competed in the NRA for six years, said the conditions were perfect. "The ground was just right and Copper Penny was feeling it from the moment we warmed up." The record-breaking run earned Brandt $1,200 and solidifies her position as the early-season leader in Barrel Racing. She is expected to compete at the upcoming Spring Roundup in Helena.
